Description

1.Be able to define the terms 'safeguarding', 'abuse' and 'child maltreatment' 

2.Be able to recognise the potential indicators of child maltreatment physical, emotional, sexual abuse, and neglect including radicalisation, child trafficking and female genital mutilation (FGM).

3.Understand the impact a parent/carer's physical and mental health can have on the well-being of a child or adolescent, including the impact of domestic violence and abuse.
